New concept provides software designers and ISVs with the means to record TestDrive online demonstration sessions to sharpen their sales approach, refine marketing focus and test usability
Fort Lauderdale, Florida (November 19, 2008) – Runaware, the leader in online demos and software marketing services, has announced the launch of TestDrive INSIGHT, a new addition to the TestDrive suite of services that enables software vendors and ISVs to record user demonstration sessions for use in increasing ROI by better targeting sales efforts, sharpening their competitive edge and refining software usability.
By utilizing Runaware’s unique Demo Recording Analysis (DRA) technology, TestDrive INSIGHT enables software companies to see exactly how prospective customers explore and use their software. Individual demo sessions can be recorded and played back at any time. The system records TestDrive sessions automatically, without any need for operator intervention or supervision.
Software houses have complete control over which demo sessions are recorded. Using the TestDrive Customer Profiling and Lead Capture system, they can select which sessions to record based on specific criteria and details provided by the user prior to running the demo. Alternatively they can record sessions at a specific frequency or at random. This means that TestDrive INSIGHT can be used with equal effect to pre-qualify prospective users or to assess general usability of software.
Andy Poulter, Runaware’s Chief Technology Officer, says that TestDrive INSIGHT has the potential to become an invaluable tool in the software development process and in helping vendors to focus on key selling points of new products and versions. He states: “TestDrive INSIGHT gives product development and sales and marketing teams the ability to study how users respond to new features and functions and to adapt their products to meet user needs and improve their sales potential. We see this as significant technology breakthrough and one that has the potential to significantly enhance and enrich the whole process of developing and evaluating software – both for the ISVs and the end user customer.”
